Dr. Anuradha De achieved all her academic qualifications from Calcutta University [B.Sc (1972) from Lady Brabourne College, M.Sc from Science College and has Ph.D from Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics]. She worked in the “Department of Physics and Laboratory of Nuclear studies”, Osaka University, Japan during 1984-1988. She had teaching experiences at Sri Arobindo Institute of Education (Kolkata), Bijoy Krishna Girls’ College (Howrah) and Bethune College (Kolkata). Dr. De joined the National Institute for Technical Teachers’ Training and Research (NITTTR), Kolkata [formally named as Technical Teachers’ Training Institute (TTTI), Calcutta] in 1996 in the Department of Science and become Professor and Head of the Science Department in 2004. She published a number of research papers in journals of National and International repute and popular papers on “Optical Fibre”, “Laser” and “Wireless Communication” in National journals. She coordinates regularly short term training courses on topics concerning emerging areas of technical education for teachers covering all parts of India. A “Laser and Fibre” related Training laboratory has also been developed by Dr. De with two successive grants provided by MHRD, Govt. of India”. Also, she developed a solar related laboratory from the help of the Institute, Dr. De finally superannuated from the service with NITTTR, Kolkata in the month of November, 2017 from the post of Professor and Head of Electrical Engineering Department.
