• P Narayanan obtained his MSc., PhD degrees in Physics (X-ray crystallography/Biophysics) from the University of Mysore. He was involved in advanced research on the structural elucidation of biomolecular complexes at: (1) Max Planck Institute, Munich, Germany (about 4 years); (2) USA (10 years) - (i) Fox Chase Cancer Center, Philadelphia, (ii) State University of New York, Stony Brook, and (iii) Johns Hopkins University Medical School, Baltimore. He worked as Professor (Biophysics), University of Mumbai (1984-2001). He has published extensively on the structure-function elucidation of biomolecular structures by physical techniques, and structure prediction methods. He has authored more than five textbooks. Some of his bestselling books published by NEW AGE International are (1) Essentials of Biophysics; (2) Bioinformatics: A Primer among others.
