About The Authors:

M C Gupta, former Visiting Professor at Delhi Technological University, Delhi, had been a faculty member of BITS Pilani, Tribhuwan (Kathmandu, Nepal), Gorakhpur and Nagpur Universities. He holds PhD (McMaster, Canada), FMASc. He was Director of RSIC (a centre set up by DST) at Nagpur University. Dr. Gupta was elected president of chemistry section of Indian Science Congress, during the year 2000 at Pune. He is also a recipient of NETZSH-ITAS award, 1998 (Indian Thermal Analysis Society) for his work on Thermal & Radiologistic Degradation of Polymers. He has published about 100 research papers and guided 13 scholars for PhD at Nagpur and Gorakhpur Universities. He has also authored two books viz. Statistical Thermodynamics and Polymer Composite.

A P Gupta, PhD (AMV), presently Professor of Applied Chemistry & Polymer Technology, DTU, Delhi has been teaching students of BE & ME polymer technology. He developed this branch at DCE. He has published about 80 research papers, guided 9 PhD, 70 ME (Polym. Tech.) and 45 BE (Polymer Science) students. His main areas of research are Membrane Technology, Polymer Blends and Alloys & Ionexchange Materials.
