About the Author

Miakpo Emiaso is a Senior Lecturer at the Delta State University Faculty of Law and a retired President of the Area Customary Court. He holds a Masters’ Degree in Law and is a Ph.d scholar.

He is a veteran journalist and has been a lecturer in Law at the Times Journalism Institute Lagos. He is an Examiner/Assessor in Business Law with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

Emiaso has authored several books including the best-selling Law, Practice and Procedure: Modern Customary Courts in Nigeria; Co-operative Societies Law and Practice in Nigeria; Landlords and Tenants under Nigerian Laws; and How to Recover Properties of Dead Relations – Letters of Administration Law and Practice in Nigeria.
