Jaya Kuruvilla recieved her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Madras and Master of Science in Nursing from College of Nursing, christian medical college hospital, Vellore (D MGR Medical University, Madras, India)

Her speciality isin Medical Surgical Nursing and area of interest is Critical care Nursing.

She was involved in planning and commissioning Surgical Intensive Care Unit in Christian Medical College Hospital and continue to work as departmental supervisor of the same unit.  she has attended and presented papers in national and international conferences in India, Kuwait, Jordan and Sultanate of Oman.

Currently dhe is principal/professorof Mahatma Gandhi Mission College of Nursing, Navi Mumbai, India.
