Leeds University UK. He has a total professional experience of 35 years as faculty in degree and diploma engineerino institutions includino vears in Technica Pancation Raissthan and 14 vesre in TIl, Chandigarh. He is responsible for the design, planning, coordination and execution of all ney constructions of residential and institute buildings. He also renders consultancy in desion and restoration of structures. He is the author of a textbook on Strength of Materials, and co-author of textbooks on Civil Engineering Materials, Applied Mechanies, Concrete Laboratory Manual.

B M Dhir is Ex-Professor and Head of Educational Management Department at Technical Teachers Training Institute (TTTI), Chandigarh and possesses a total professional experience of over 32 years in industry and technical education. He passed BSc. (Civil Engineering) from Punjab University in 1961 and MS (Civil Engineering) from USA in 1962. He obtained MEd. in Vocational and Technical Education from USA in 1980. He joined Gammon India Ltd., a leading firm of Construction Engineers and Contractors, in 1963. During his 15 years of service with Gammon India Ltd., from 1963 to 1978, he was responsible for field investigation, planning and construction of various civil engineering projects such as thermal power plants, industrial structures, runways, major prestressed concrete bridges etc. As a result, he developed a clear perception and valuable insight into the various aspects of construction management. He joined the Department of Civil Engineering, TTTI Chandigarh in 1978. During his tenure at TTTI, he had been engaged in various programmes and projects of teacher training in Civil Engineering. Educational Technology and Educational Management besides curriculum and instructional material development. He has also provided consultancy in civil engineering and technical education. He is co-author of Handbook of Concrete Technology and has to his credit a number of technical papers besides many learning packages, monographs and technical educational films.
