Earlier, Dr. Bhattacharya worked as the Director of Hindustan Institute of Technology (Now Sharda University), Greater Noida; Director of National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh and also at NITTTR, Kolkata. Dr. Bhattacharya holds a BE degree from Jadavpur University, ME degree from Calcutta University and PhD degree from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani, Rajasthan. He is Fellow of The Institution of Engineers (India) and the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers

(India). Dr. Bhattacharya obtained specialized knowledge and skill in Curriculum Development, Technical Teachers Training, and Educational Technology through Fellowship attachments in the Netherlands and the UK
