ABOUT THE BOOK

Basic Experimental Designs in Agricultural Research consists of the commonest statistical methods used in agricultural experimentation. Special emphasis is laid on the procedure for designing experiment and analysing the data arising from them. The book provides a working knowledge of the most basic Designs in very simple terms thereby making it self-help manual. As a basic text, it provides the foundation for understanding the advanced and more complicated designs which are applicable in special circumstances. The computational procedure illustrated in the book are based on sound mathematical theory. However, since most agriculturists are interested ony in the application of the theories and not heir proofs, the mathematical theories are not discussed in this book The book contains standard questions which readers can solve to facilitate their understanding of the topics covered in the book.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Shadrach Olufemi Akindele is a Professor of Biometrics and Forest inventory at the Federal University of Technology, Akure Nigeria. He graduated from the University cf Ibadan, Nigeria with B.Sc. Forest Resources Management, MSc Forest Biometrics and PhD Forest biometrics . Prof Akindele has been teaching statistical methods for over three decades
